Steph Brocken
Development and Programmes Manager
Steph Brocken joined the Cause4 Team in November 2025 as Development and Programmes Manager. Steph has a 20 year career in arts and cultural engagement, starting off as a Drama facilitator and moving into project management, most recently developing the ‘Engagement and Access’ department and offer at The Met, Bury and as part of the Senior Leadership Team at Peshkar.
During her fifteen year freelance career, Steph developed and delivered engagement projects for Curious Minds, Cheshire East Council and Manchester Histories amongst others; acted as a case study writer and evaluator and was a Visiting Lecturer at The University of Chester where she completed her own undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
Having founded her own charity at the age of 22, Steph describes herself as an ‘accidental fundraiser’, having learnt the nuts and bolts of running a small charity on the ground and at the coal face. She is passionate about helping organisations of all sized and persuasions to find the creativity and joy in their business planning and has supported a range of groups and charities through her Chairship of The National Association of Youth Theatres and the Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network.
She’s excited to join the team and looks forward to meeting lots of inspiring individuals and organisations.
