About this Event

Building on the success of our award-winning Trustee Leadership Programme, in April 2020 Cause4 will deliver a bespoke one-day training programme for Trustees, Board and Committee members across the sports sector – from National Governing Bodies to sports clubs across the UK.

In partnership with the Philanthropy Foundation and the University of Westminster Law School, this vital and vibrant course will see experts in governance and sports leadership come together to share the key responsibilities of good governance across the sports sector.

The course covers the key responsibilities of Trustees of sports charities/clubs and other regulatory issues, as well as touching on key topics such as financial management, fundraising and strategic planning. It will also offer real-world insights from experts from across the sports sector, and there will be an opportunity to network with other participants.

Thanks to the generous support of our partners we are able to offer this course at a heavily subsidised rate of £20 ( as opposed to a normal cost of £150).

What others say

Clearly articulated with a wide range of information provided and questions answered. Having a guest speaker really brought it to life and gave meaning and context. - Lucy C-W, Local Government.

Extremely helpful. It provided a real insight into the work of trustees. I liked the ability to ask questions of the Trustees and gain an understanding of the needs and issues faced by their charities. I’d definitely recommend. – Debbie K, Government Solicitor.

The structure of the course was ideal, I was able to comprehend and digest the responsibilities and expectations of a Trustee. - Rafia F, UBS.

Tickets are heavily subsidised to £20 per person + VAT, processing and banking fees.
